Didn`t try to connect servos directly to rpi 5, will order connectors and try to repeat what you did.
Looks like pca9685 chip in the middle of rpi and servos does nothing using represented code.
Manufacturer of this pan tilt hat gives an example for differeent gpio libraries but all of this is for pri of previous rpi versions.
