I'm not really concerned about the power drawn by the charger by itself, but I suppose I could change the design a little and use a single relay in the power cord. Basically, I would run an extension cord from the main outlet to the back of the panel, where the USB power supply (the 4-port charger) plugs into it. The displays connect via USB to the power supply, and the controller board connects to a relay mounted on the extension cord.Cutting the power is an exercise for the reader, but you really want to cut the mains power, not just the 5V power. If you cut the 5V power only then the power supplies are still consuming a bit of current themselves. It's up to you.
Thanks, I was starting to wonder about that, thought maybe I'd misread it.No. It waits for a low signal (pull down to 0V) on that pin.
Also the Pi 5 may be different as that has a dedicated power button with holes to connect an external button/control if desired.
