Assistive technology and accessibility • What hash algorithm does Raspberry Pi Imager us to automatically hash your Wi-Fi password?

When using Raspberry Pi Imager, I open the additional settings with "Command+Shift+x". Under the "General" Tab, I see "Configure Wireless LAN" option, with a space for "SSID" and another space for "Password". Raspberry Pi Imager autofills these blank spaces by asking for permissions to use MacOS keychain. After it autofills the "Password" section for WiFi, I noticed that it doesn't use a plain text wifi password, but instead hashes the MacOS keychain password and uses that hashed password. This is great! But I am writing a tutorial specifically for Ubuntu on Raspberry pi, and it requires hashing the Wi-Fi password manually in the MacOS Terminal.

My question is, what hash algorithm does Raspberry Pi Imager use to hash your wi-fi password, and how can I hash the wifi password manually myself in MacOS terminal and insert the manually hashed password into raspberry pi imager? Please let me know. Thank you!
