+1 for WSL. No need to muss with putty, you can have an xterm or whatever kind of terminal you want in WSL and it works pretty much just like the Pi for console "stuff" such as SSH.Fwiw, you might care to have a look at WSL (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windo ... c-commands) if your windoze version supports version2. If you install the default (ubuntu) distro it comes with a ssh client.
I'm new to wsl myself, having been a long time cygwin user. I've only ever used putty (good but wierd) when there's no other choice.
Even easier, Windows has openssh by default for W10 and W11, just use ssh from the command line like you would with linux.
You might have to switch the client and/or server on in start - > settings -> system -> optional features
If not updated you may need to add optional feature on the same page.
