The original author no longer has time so I am alone on this one.
The way I currently get the code to run successfully is by:only after a reboot or powering on, does it not work. (unless I use putty and enter the 2 commends above)
so now I have added your suggestions (-u behind the python3 command in startupDisplay.sh).
This do not help.
I have also added the logging options.
trying to open the logfile gives me an empty file.
ctr x out of edit mode then gives me a message:so sadly, it seems I am out of luck, unless someone has any other tips.
