Oh, that's good to know about the memory! I just figured I would check the hardware and play around before I did what I intended with it.

I guess I got rid of more info than I intended when I cleaned up my original post. It won't freeze until I do something more resource hungry, like run a bunch of instances of the pre-installed programs, or run something like a browser and a web page or two. If I just run the console or look through the files, I get no freezing at all.

I tried your recommendation, but it still seemed to freeze once I loaded it down a bit. It does seem to run a little better though.

To make things much more confusing... I just ran stress-ng for the cpu and ram, as well as glmark2 all at once and not only did I not get a crash, but I was also able to then open up multiple tabs in chromium, browse the internet and watch a video... Then, I restarted it and just tried to look at a website again, and it froze... then I redid the last test where I ran all 3 benchmarks then opened chromium, and it didn't freeze... uhhh, I guess the hardware is okay? Any ideas? Did I just need to let it run for a while or warm up or something? I'm going to leave it running for the night and see if I can get it to freeze in the morning.

For reference, intended to use either this pi 4 or the zero 2 w to replace the MKS PI I've used for klipper on my 3d printer and mess around with the other. That MKS PI constantly gives me trouble in the strangest ways and doesn't like any Wi-Fi adapters other than the low quality one it came with (it works if it's 3ft from the modem). I was really worried that I got a bad one when I did the testing, but now I'm a bit more hopeful.
