I still have the old router from my ISP. I plugged it into an Ethernet port on my new router. Now I have a new wifi network and the old one running at the same time and talking to each other via the wired network.
If you can do this then you can connect to your current devices on the old wifi network and migrate them to the new one one by one.
I doubt very much that your ISP will want the old router back.
