You are right. I think I should buy Ardafruit LCD instead. The have made de python drivers.
You have expertise in that could recomend a cheap LCD ?
I only need to make a feedback screen, no need of high resolution.
When the function is runing I want the screen go yelow, when standby green, and so on...

I woud like to have recomendation of LCD about 1.4" size to conect to a Raspian64bit Raspberry Pi 3B+
I will need to buy in larger quantitites to make other devices identical.
