If you have the desktop version of the OS, then in raspi-config switch to the labwc version (hunt around I I forget the bit it hidden under) this will switch you to Wayland using labwc.
It will allow you to remote connect.
I cannot comment on how smooth it will work remotely, nor how it will work locally for your use.
You can always switch back to X and lose the functionality.
(Assuming an up to date Bookworm OS, old Bookworm OS then you may need to install labwc after updating the OS all via apt. )
