Are you saying that before you start a project you should probably know what you are doing?It would be good to know what C++ program you are using, Sorry I did not make it clear.
So it looks like, before you start a project that could unknowingly potentiality use a big number, to run the program or a few lines from it,
I do not care if there is a problem, but it would be good to know there is a problem and we can work around it, as for me why use a long double when a double has the same number range.
