I'm trying to remote into my raspberry pi 0. I'm using it as a USB dongle. I've done this in the past. I thought I changed the password and it looks like I did. I found the userconf.txt file when I looked at the SD card setup with a username and a password. When I try to remote into the 0 it says the username is pi so I type raspberry for the password. Then it denies me access.
Does anyone know what's happening here? Why doesn't raspberry work as the password for pi? Why isn't it asking me for the new username I tried to setup? Will deleting userconf.txt let me login again as pi?
EDIT: I remember people saying I'd need an SSH file on the SD as well, it's been years since I tried to do this, and I'm not seeing that SSH file.
